Tara LaRosa born in Cherry Hill and raised in Woodstown, New Jersey is a professional female mixed martial artist who previously fought in BodogFIGHT. She was the first and final BodogFIGHT 135 lbs champion. She recently defeated HOOKnSHOOT 125 lbs champion Cody Welchin in a non title fight at a HOOKnSHOOT/BodogFIGHT co-sponsored event. She is considered one of the top female Mixed Martial Arts fighter holding wins over other top Mixed Martial Arts fighters including of note Amanda Buckner and Kelly Kobald. LaRosa is presently signed with the American Fight League.

World's top female added to RFA2 fight card
KEARNEY (Nebraska) - Two of the top female fighters in the world have been added to the March 30 Resurrection Fighting Alliance card at Kearney's Viaero Event Center. Three women's fights - one amateur and two pro - are scheduled for RFA 2, including two of the sport's most feared female fighters in Tara LaRosa and Elaina Maxwell. LaRosa is the No. 1 ranked female in the world at 125 pounds, according to the Unified Women’s MMA Rankings, while Maxwell is ranked No. 6 in the world at 145 pounds. LaRosa is 20-2 as a pro and has won numerous titles, including the first and final bodogFight bantamweight belts. She is the No. 2 ranked women's mixed martial arts fighter of all time by Fightmatrix.com and has a Brazilian jiu-jitsu purple belt under the legendary Royce Gracie.
